  1. An even number of players are required for this game "Here are the robbers passing by." Two make an arch with their hands, having selected two things such as an apple and an orange, each of them takes one. The others pass under the arch singing:-
    "Here are the robbers passing by, passing by, passing by,
    Here are the robbers passing by,
    passing by, my fair lady.
    What did the robbers do to you, do to you, do to you,
    What did the robbers do to you my fair lady.
    Stole my watch and broke my chain, broke my chain, broke my chain.
    Stole my watch and broke my chain my fair lady
    Then off to prison they must go, they must go, they must go,
    They off to prison they must go my fair lady
    (Then the two players making the arch, put their hands on the heads of the players as they pass under, saying
