    Story.
About a half-mile south of the town of Skerries there is a large rock shaped like a chair. It is called the "Mermaids' Chair" because long ago mermaids used to come up from the sea and sit on the chair. The used to have little mirrors with them and they would comb their hair and sit on the rock.
