    Festival Customs Shrove Tuesday
    Skerries, Co. Dublin
On "Shrove Tuesday" or "Pancake Tuesday" as the people of Skerries call it pancakes are made instead of the usual meals. The people eat a great lot of them because they have to fast next day. The pancakes are made of buttermilk, eggs, and flour, and the children love to be mixing the makings.
