    Skerries, Co. Dublin.
    Some of the herbs most dangerous to good ground are the thistle, the yellow weed, and button scutch.
    The thistle takes all the good out of grazing land and leaves it useless. The yellow weed too, is to be seen in every tilled field in the Summer. The Bulky Shan is looked upon as a weed which grows only on bad land and the Grounsel [?] and Chick weed grow only on arable land. The Dandelion is looked upon as having healing properties. It is boiled down and mixed with other substances
