    Old Crafts - Basket-making
    (Skerries, Co. Dublin.)
There are two brothers in Lusk who make potato baskets and their name is Dennis. First they go out to the fields and cut sallies. They they bring them in and leave them to dry and season. When they start to make the basket they get thick sallies and put them into the shape of a basket. Then they get the thin sallies and weave them in and through the thick ones until they have the basket finished.
