because he could say they owed a half year's rent. The landlord long ago used to pay the minister tithes in kind. He used to get some man to collect them from the farmers. Every year at harvest time this man would collect them. He would collect one sheaf from every stook. The farmer would leave a small sheaf at the end of every stook for the man to collect but the man would not take the small sheaf so they used to fight. Sometimes the man would get hurt so the landlord gave the minister some land and a house which is situated on the Rush Road.
