Old Local Custom
When a man starts to plough a field in the Spring, it is out custom to bless himself and say "I'll plough this field in the name of God."
When a person is going out to swin or bade they bless themselves with the water.
Its an old custom to shake a pinch of salt on a set of eggs before giving them to a person.
Another old custom is to tie an old asses show over the door, this is believed to bring good luck.
The old people of this district distribute snuff at wakes and sometimes pipes and tobacco.
It is an old custom to tie an old boot to a wedding car to bring good luck to the happy couple.
When the is lit everyone in the house bless themselves and say "God Grant us the Light of Heaven.
