    "Hampton Hall Green"
    I
    Ye muses assist me and lend me your skill,
    And help my weak genius these lines for to fill,
    Tis' in praise of an Arbour - where off times I've been,
    Where the small birds do warble round Hampton Hall Green.
    II
    Its boundaries are charming in the summer time,
    The trees grow in clusters; more forming a line,
    And its pleasant flower gardens, where holly locks are seen,
    Make me wind to return back to Hampton Hall Green.
    III
    The blackbird and thrush and the linnet likewise,
    The lark in the morning ascend's tot he skies,
    He arises with fervor, so loving and keen,
    That he echoes the woods, all round Hampton Hall Green.
    IIII
    But now I'm an exile far from its fair view,
    The thoughts I once pondered my heart still renew,
    I'll now praise its dwelling, it's not for a queen,
    And it borders Ardgillan, does sweet Hampton Hall Green.
