  1. The wreck of the Tartar.
    A local boat the Tartar belonging to Grahams was lost in a storm at the Bar of Drogheda in 1880 or 1881, November. She was a fishing boat with a crew of four all Balbriggan men?
    The mast fell overboard and the sailors could not reach Balbriggan. They tried to run before the breeze to Drogheda port but were lost at that very dangerous place called the Bar.
