  1. The police were once on the track of Collier the Robber who was after committing a daring robbery. He took refuge in a field where a number of men were working taking up potatoes, and putting them in sacks. Collier as you know took money from the rich and gave it to the poor, therefore he knew that the men would not tell the police on him. The men opened one of the sacks and he jumped into it. When the police came they inquired if they had they seen him. The men said that nobody crossed the field, but although the police were quite near to Collier they didn't see him, and when the police left the field he got away safe and sound.
This happened in a field between Balrothery and Balbriggan.
