    Bremore
    St. Molaga - native of Fermoy- built church at Bremore where he promoted Bee-Culture. His church - remains still seen - was called Lannbecher - church of the Bee-Man
    Molaga returns to Co. Cork (died 664)
    Near Mitchelstown in Co. Cork is an old ruined church "Labmolaga"=Molaga's Bed or Grave.
    Church built in Bremore about middle of 6th Century- once famous seat of Piety Learning.
    Molaga missionary in N-Britain Wales - settled in Bremore- Fingal- cured local Lord of an ulcer & was granted Bremore. Spent many years educating promoting Bee Culture (Lann Becher=Church of Bee Man)
    About beginning of 14th Century castle built here by powerful Barnewall family - ruled in Bremore.
    A bloody fight took place on Whitsun Eve 1329 when Bermingham, Earl of Louth, Talbot Lord of Malahide, their soldiers & 60 English followers were all killed in a pitched battle by the Verdons, Germons & Savafs (Anglo-Norman)
    During wars of 1641 much smuggling brought to castle for use of the Confederates-Barnewell living in ??
