Cork is an old ruined church "Labmolaga"=Molaga's Bed or Grave.Church built in Bremore about middle of 6th Century- once famous seat of Piety Learning.Molaga missionary in N-Britain Wales - settled in Bremore- Fingal- cured local Lord of an ulcer & was granted Bremore. Spent many years educating promoting Bee Culture (Lann Becher=Church of Bee Man)About beginning of 14th Century castle built here by powerful Barnewall family - ruled in Bremore.A bloody fight took place on Whitsun Eve 1329 when Bermingham, Earl of Louth, Talbot Lord of Malahide, their soldiers & 60 English followers were all killed in a pitched battle by the Verdons, Germons & Savafs (Anglo-Norman)During wars of 1641 much smuggling brought to castle for use of the Confederates-Barnewell living in ??(continues on next page)
