    This school district is situated in the parish of Iskaheen and Upper Moville. The townland in which it is situated , is called "Gortin", but the school is called Ture school. As we think over all the Local names of our parish we can see that they were all derived from the Irish language. Here are some names of the townlands which we can see why they got their present names.
