    Lá amháin bhí Colmcille ag siubhal fríd pháirc i Desertegney cuairm ar chúig mhíle taobh smuigh do bhaile Buncrannaighe . I lár na páirce bhí sruthán beag na rabh móran breac. Bhí cupla fear ag iasgaireacht breac ins an abhainn beag seo an lá ceacna agus bhí mála maith breac gaibhce aca..Nuair a chonnaic siad Colmcille ag teacht bhí fhios aca go maith go mbéadh sé ag iarraich cuid do na bric orcha agus shocenigh siad innse dó nach bhfuair siad ceann ar bith .Tainig Colmcille un tosaigh agus sheasuigh sé ag comhrádh leó ar fead tomaill. Sa deireadh chuir sé ceist ortha an bhfuair siad breac ar bith agus dubhairt siad nach bhuair.Bhi fhios ag Colmille go maith
