    lived in Carnadore.
    A great many of these herbs are cures for certain diseases. Nettles, Bogbean, Arnuts, and Rosenoble are used for purifying the blood Rosenoble is also used for lung and liver trouble.
    Ripplegrass is used for stopping bleeding. Whins, Broom, and heather grow along fences, and in boggy places. They are used for food for horses.
    For pigs or hens. Rosenoble is also good for them.
    A cure for the measles is nettles […] up and the juice is drunk. Other herbs which I have not mentioned are Gooseberry thorns, and Black-currants. The Gooseberry thorns are usefull [sic] for sore eyes. For the cold Black – currants are used as a cure.
