    Then they wash it in pure cold water, salt it, and give it another few washes. Then they make it up into prints or rolls.

  2. We have not a churn at home. In Summer time they churn three and four times a week, but in winter once a week. If a stranger comes in while churning he will help, or if somebody comes in that you do not like the people would put salt in the churn for luck. In Winter time it takes an hour and in Summer a half an hour.
    They churn the milk with the hands and they work the staff up and down. When the butter comes to the top it is churned.
