    A Dunfanaghy man took a friend with him to make a match. The bargaining went on in a kitchen where the light was not too good. The dowry was in Kind - "stirks" or young cattle _ and a certain number were agreed on and the young woman was seen and approved of - in the half light. But next day the young man demanded another "stirk" because the lass had "a feather" in her eye
