  1. Stye: Gather ten gooseberry stabs three days in succession. Throw away one. The other nine must be pointed at the eye. The first three in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
    Burn: You must catch the arcsleibhe and lick him three times. Then when you lick the burn you cure it.
    Cough in cattle: Gather wild sease and boil it. Then give the juice to the cattle to drink.
    Bats: Put three knots on a string and leave it lying on the animal. Then take of the knots. This is also called; "Sníomh na peiste".
    Cough in people: Gather dock seeds and boil them. Then drink the juice.
    Swellings: Gather chicken weed and pound it on a cloth. Heat it well. Then put it on the sore.
    Erysipelas (Rose): There is a cure in all Mc Cahill's blood for the rose.
    Wart: If you come on a small round well in a rock and you not seeking it and rub some of the water on the wart it cures it.
    Wild fire: If a man and his wife have the same surname the children have the cure of the wild fire.
    Foul mouth: A child that never saw her father has the cure of the foul mouth.
    Heartburn: Chew the tops of whins and swallow the juice
