  1. The old county Road went along the shore following the track of the present Donegal Light Railway Line.
It passed from the Port under Dan Fishers house and over Logan's Hill in Brenter. Then it turned sharply to the right into Dunkineely.
There is a very fine old bridge on this road to be seen yet near Battles in Kilmacreddan.
An Irish Milestone is still to be seen near this bridge. The grave of a pedlar named Burleigh who fell over the bank is near the old road. It appears that one night when sleeping out between the road and the sea he fell over the cliff. His grave is beside an old fort.
