  1. Many people from this district dreamt that there was a treasure in a certain place at Lynch-Park.
They went to look for it, but could not find it.
People from Maynooth found out about it, and came in the night. They dug under some rock, and found it.
It was a beautiful golden image, but when they were taking it away, they broke a finger off it.
The finger was found by someone, from about the place, and he sold it for a great amount of money.
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
