    bones, and exchange them for small articles such as needles, laces, pins and things like that. He used to get lodgings from the farmers of the district until he'd have a couple of bags full. He'd generally stay in the district about a week. On Saturday morning he'd go into town with the rags and bones on some of the cars going into Waterford for the marketing.
    There was also another old man who used to go around this district called Pedlar Norrey. He used to collect rags and bones, bottles, jam jars, and scraps of iron. He used to wear seven night caps on his head. People used to say he had money hidden in them.
