  1. On the 8th February 1873 there was a great snowstorm in our district.It did great harm. It broke in our Chapel wall in Carbally. The priest could not get into the Chapel to say mass. Then he said mass in Hardy's house. One man was trying to pass the Chapel but he got smothered.
