  1. A lantern can be made from a turnip. This is how it is done. A middle sized turnip is got. It is turned upside down leaving the root to let out the smoke. A hole is scooped in the turnip with a knife. The inside of the lantern is then scooped out making a grip in the middle to hold the candle. When this is done the lantern is made.
