    8. He is gone too far like Cunduff's bullock.
    In this district long ago there lived two brothers called Jack and Jim Curduff. Jack never helped Jim to work on the farm but read a big book all day long. He though he could do anything with his book. One day a bullock went in a hole and Jim called him out. Jack brought his book with him and read and read till at last the bullock lay down and died. Jack then closed his book and said "He was gone too far".
