  1. It is believed there us a hidden treasure in Bunion [sic] Rock near Pontoon. The rock is about a hundred feet high and the treasure is midway in the rock. Nobody can reach it except by being let down from the top of the rock by a rope.
    Some time ago a few man tried to get it. One man agreed to search for it. He was let down to the cave. He was overjoyed when he saw the large barrel but a large worm was coiled round it. The worm quenched the candle the man held in his hand.
