    Ballycastle. It began to rain heavily and he had no shelter. However when he reached the end of his journey his companions were soaking wet but not a drop had fallen on the priest. He could light his pipe with his little finger. He had great prayers and often cured people.
    In Belderrigbeg on a farm of land at present belonging to a Glenamoy man Michael Deane, there is a tiny mound not much bigger than a good sized football called “Crocán a’ Caíbín.” The Crocán is shaped something like a hat. I heard the following story about it from an old Seanachie - Michael Walshe Belderrigmore. At the time that the priests were being persecuted there came two priests into a house in Ráitín (Belderrigbeg). They weren’t long in when the soldiers were after them and the two priests ran down to the river. There was Giolcach at that time growing all along
