  1. Songs of the Locality

The songs the people have are mostly

The songs the people have are mostly patriotic songs in English. There are practically no Irish traditional songs except those well known like "Oileán Éadaigh" or "Bhí Triúir Mac Agam"
I am giving the songs which I think are rarest as showing the tyoe is vogue here. Most of these songs were to be found at the last of the travelling musicians. Michael Duggaw a fiddler who died in 1936. His voice and some of the Irish songs he had have been recorded.
    Lúrabóg, larabóg bainne na béinne
Tiúin ní ticine mine ní mbeinnle
Dá cois leamháin Liam ó'n laca
Bóthar na Gealaighe tá sé flearach.
