The following are all signs of rain. If you see crickets by the fire, worms on the ground, soot falling down the chimney, blue ashes in the grate, fog in the morning or dust rising off the road.
When the atmosphere is still, without a breeze of wind and the hills look very near it is the surest sign that a storm will follow. When there are pink clouds in the sky, in the evening it means frost.- Collector
