    When the wind comes from the north snow or frost comes soon after it. The west wind brings most rain to our district. Sometimes when people see a dark cloud they are certain it will rain but an old inhabitant knows better. If he sees the cloud getting bigger or breaking the knows well that it won't rain.
    Other signs are when the birds are flying low it's a sign of rain but if they are high it means fine weather. When you see a cat with its back to the fire or a dog eating grass it is a sure sign of bad weather. If the cock crows before going to roost
