  1. In olden times there lived a man named Pat Kelly. He lived at the foot of the nefin mountains. Pat was married but had no family except one daughter who was blind since birth. The people called her blind nora. Nora's mother died when her little daughter was still very young.
    The father got married again and there were three daughters after the second marriage. The mother was very fond of her three daughters but she didn't like blind nora. She would never give nora or her father anything nice to eat.
    When she used get Pat gone to work every morning she used to cook nice things for herself and her three daughters. After eating a poor breakfast Pat went to work every morning in frost and snow.
    There was an old bull on the land that seemed to know that poor Pat was getting bad treatment. He used to come to the gate each morning when Pat was going to work.Out of the bull's ear came a lovely table-cloth, spread on the grass, full of lovely things for Pat to eat. He wouldn't eat any supper when he would go home.
    His wife and daughter were anxious to know where was Pat getting his food. She sent out one of her daughters after Pat one morning to find out where he went for his breakfast. When she came
