    noticed a candle lighted in the church it was about half past twelve and as it was unusual to see a light there at such an hour, he went into the church to quench the candle, when he went in he went to the rail and knelt down a short distance from where the candle was, just as he stood up to quench it, somebody put his hand around it and quenched it.
