  1. There is a flag situated in Bally-kinave and it is called Brown's Flag. There was a boy named Brown fowling there. When crossing a ditch the trigger of his gun caught a stick, and by accident his gun shot himself. His father erected a flag on the spot where his son was killed.
    The following is an inscription of that on the flag:- On this spot died November the 21st 1,843.
    By the accidental explosion of his gun,
    The Honourable Henry George Monk Brown.
