  1. The children used to play a game by drawing two lines two feet apart and drawing cross-lines making ten squares.
    One of the children would get a flag and throw it into the first square. He would hop on one foot from one square to another. When he would have hopped to the last square he would turn back and when he would be coming back he would pick up the flag. If he succeeded in doing it in the double, he would alter the flag one square. When he has it on the tenth, he has the game won.
