- Long ago, probably hundreds of years ago, there was an old church in Kerryhead, and monks lived in it. The church was in Keelmicada. Near the church there is a bay called the "Bay of the Brothers."
Once there did some of Cromwell's soldiers came and followed some of the monks and as they fell into this lough over the cliff they were drowned, and as soon as they did three heads sprang up. They can be seen yet, or something very like(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
