- The name of the parish I live in is Ashfield. There are about seventy families in the parish.
Colonel Clements' estate is in this parish. There is one Church and two schools. The rector is Rev. Sinclair. Most of the people are farmers. Moat of the houses are slated. The townland gets its name because there are a a lot of ash trees growing in it. The people of Ashfield do not talk Irish.
There are not many ruins in the district. Most of the land is good there are a few bogs. There are a lot of woods and some lakes in Ashfield. There are two lakes convenient to my home, the White Lake and the Black Lake.
