    what does man love? and the fourth is what do I (landlord) love?"
    Barney scratched his head an' luked all roun' him an' sez "Begorra, thim's verry hard questions, but shure if you giv' me til nixt rint day I'll thry to answer thim." "Very gud, Barney" sez the landlord, be here early an' if you cantanswer thim to plaze ? me, you'll have to pay yer rint."
    Barney wint to the landlord.
    "Well, Barney, an' what's the answer to me questions?" sez the gintleman.
    This is what Barney said.
    "God loves man that's free from sin.
    The devil loves man that sin dwells in.
    Man loves the world while riches on him flow.
    An' you'd love me if I'd pay you what I owe."
    The landlord forgiv' him the rint.
