well, shure the rint day kem roun' an' iv coorse Barney hadn't the rint. He wint to the landlord an' towld him he cudn't pay. Well, that gintleman giv' him down the bauks an' towld him it'd fit him better to do his work an' not be idlin' roun' making up bits o' porty.
Shure Barney wuz verry sweet to him an' said he'd thry to get the rint be the nixt day, an'the ould "boyo" in the ind, got into better humour an' sez he " I hear you're a cliver soart iv a fella, you're rint isn't much" says he "an I@ll forgive it to you if you can answer me four questions (iv coorse he wuz laughin' in his own mind, for he niver thought Barney'd be able to answer the tough questions he'd ax him.)
"Well, what's the questions?" sez Barney.
