- The most harmful weeds growing on our farm are as follows dockens, nettles, ragwort, planten leaf, slanlus, foreand and lambs quarter and in some of these weeds there are supposed to be cures.
The planten leaf is supposed to be good for a sore or for stopping blood.
The roots of the nettles boiled in water is supposed to be good for the nerves.
These weeds are harmful because they spread rapidly and they also destroy the land.
The forands and thistles are looked upon as plants that grow in good land and the ferns are always to be seen growing on bad land and it is said the ferns if well boiled in butter milk and water they are a good cure for rheumatism.
