Ar an leathanach seo
- Bricks were made in the townland of Fyhora about forty years ago. They were also made in the townland of Firmullagh.
When a man started to make bricks he first of all stripped the sod off the place where he intended to get the proper clay. He then took away the soil underneath the sod, until he came to the blue clay from which the bricks were made. He dug a layer of this clay about six inches in depth and picked every little stone out of it. He broke it fine and turned it several times to make sure that no stones remained. He then flung it up in a heap on the field. he then dug another layer in the pit and treated it in the same manner. He continued until he had enough clay raised. He then threw water on the heap and allowed it to remain during the Winter. (This work was carried out in the Winter season)
About the beginning of May he started to mix the heap. He dug it out(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
