    In my townland Legan Monday is supposed to be the only day in the week on which the remedy for rheumatic pains is effective.
    The people of the townland start to plough on a Monday being the first day God started to make the world. Building and changing from one house to another takes place on a Friday.
    The first days of April are known as the Old cow's days" or the "borrowed days" in my townland. They are very cold days.
