  1. In my district Mt Temple there is a well and it is called St. Patricks well. It is so called because St. Patrick trod there and left the track of his foot in the rock. This rock is in Mr Dolan's land and people go there to have warts cured. These people put pennies and pins and craichníní into the well. There is water in this well the whole year, and there is a a penny in it also.
    People say that the water used in a forge is a cure for warts also.
    A red rag tied around the neck is believed to be a cure for the chin cough.
