    The different kinds that were made were:-potato cake, boxty, and oaten bread.
    Potato cake
    This was made from potatoes, boiled, peeled, rolled out with a saucepan, and then mixed with flour and a pinch of salt, cut in quarters, and baked on the pan.
    Boxty bread
    This was made from oaten meal, mixed with yeast, and wetted with milk or water, and baked on a griddle, or left
