Ar an leathanach seo
- As we are farmers, we have a big churn. It is about three feet in height and one foot three inches in breadth. The sides are round.
It is a very old churn, it is nearly twenty years old.
The parts are the handles, the lid, ventilator and the glass. The glass shows when the churning is done. When the glass is quite clear it is done.
The name of our churn is 'Victoria churn' It was made by Waide and Sons, Leeds.
We churn twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday. My mother does the churning on Tuesday but, on Saturday, I help. Strangers do not help to churn unless (except) once or twice a year. It takes half an hour to churn. It is done by hand, but it is not a dash churn. It is an end-over-end churn.
Long ago people used to churn their whole milk, because there were(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
