    The old customs connected with Shrove Tuesday are that the people make pancakes, and the mothers of the houses send their children to the houses next door to get a sieve.

    Her belongings are uasally left on her father's cart at the house which she has got.
    People do remember when their wedding took place for they could tell the day and date.
