- When the ''sounds'' was all used, the remaining seeds were used to make Flummery.
These seeds were squeezed and strained through a strainer, and the liquid which resulted from the straining
was boiled in a pot on a slow fire for five or ten minutes, and kept well stirred. It was then poured out on a dish and allowed to cool. Flummery was eaten
with new milk and was regarded as a dainty. - Wheat seed was soaked for a night in water, and then boiled for a whole day in the same water. When the seed had burst a little flower was added in order to thicken the mixture, which was then called ''Grám Brih''
When sweetened with sugar it was eaten with milk. A Pot of it would last two or three days.
