    Na Prátaí.

Pits are made by digging into the earth ,the potatoes are then put in and covered with ferns ,and then clay and last of all thatched with straw .We sow Kerrspinks and Irish Queens,we consider Kerrspinks the best table potatoes.Potatoes when cut are called "scioláns" and the shoots are "peacks".Timber ploughs are still used in bog gardens .Potatoes are left in
