    He set to work with a cow and his "digger" and all his land was ready for his crops before his neighbours who had spent a lot of money in tilling the land by a manual power. They were all astonished at this new invention to do away with labours and they all invented wooden ploughs of their own. They were so delighted with his idea that they carried im around the chapel on a Sunday morning and presented him to their Parish Priest, Father Hogan who proclaimed him a hero.
