  1. 2. Brittas is my native place, in which nine families reside. It contains the ruins of St Cronan's church yard. It was once famed for a rockery of crows but these have long forsaken it. There are also forts in Brittas and it is surrounded by a wood.

  2. 3. The name of my home district is Thurles, called in Irish Durlas Éile. Long ago a man called Fogarty built a durlas round his house People began to make their homes nearly until at last the town of Thurles grew. It got its name when Fogarty died.
