    In Strand Street, Kanturk, in the house occupied by Mr. P. O'Sullivan at present, soap and candles were made, and tobacco and snuff were also made.
    Mr. Patrick Sheahan Greenane, Kanturk is a basket maker, and he makes baskets out of twigs.
    Mr. P. O'Connor, Water Gate Street, Kanturk used to make spades, ploughs and gates and harrows and fire-cranes.
    In the townland of Ballybahallow, Freemount, Charleville, Co. Cork there lived a man called "Johnny the Weaver". His name was John Brosnan. He used to weave all the cloth for the neighbours and they used to spin it, and give it to him to weave it into frieze.
    The people used to dye their own clothes at that time in the houses.
    In Strand Street, Kanturk where the creamery now stands there was a tan-yard where tanning
