In the village of Ballyhooly, in the barony of Fermoy, in the County cork, there once lived a person, who was known to be a fool, and he had a nickname as "Amadán Peter".
One day he was under a table when the soldiers were in the room plotting to kill a priest. The fool knew the priest, and when the soldiers were gone, he went off to tell the priest. They had to go around the road, because there was a flood in the Blackwater. When he came to the river he said, "Go easy Blackwater and don't drown "Amadán Peter."
