  1. Biles
    Poultice it with linseed meal until it breaks, then make a plaster of soap, sugar and curds, and put it to it to draw it.
    A griepe or Colic:-
    Warm a plate and put it to it, and drink a glass of burned whiskey.
    A Sprain
    (1) Bathe it in potato water and rub the Juice of the March Mallow.
    (2) Hold the sprain under a spout of water.
    Chilblains.
    Rub the Juice of an onion.
    A toothache
    Get seven flint stones and boil them in water. When boiled, throw 6 of them over your right shoulder and keep the seventh. Wash your tooth with the water.
    Sore eyes
    People pay rounds at Saint Bridget's well at Glendhahilin, Ballyheigue, Co Kerry. Pay three rounds and leave something behind you.
    For hip disease
    Pay rounds to Weather's Well at Ardfert, Co Kerry
